The official Australian Naval White ensign flag for the Navy's 75th Birthday celebration on July 10th 1986. Southern Cross manufactured the flag and were asked to organise a steel cable through the headband to allow for the correct attachment of the weight to properly hang the flag when flying. The flag flew under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and was announced in a rather conspicuous way by then leading Radio announcer Doug Mulray of Triple M fame. He later the same year announced Triple M were putting a JUMBO under the Harbour Bridge, which they did......an elephant on a barge......Sadly missed Uncle Doug....in the days before broadcasting became too sensitive.
